Activities to Raise
Awareness.
October is Domestic Vio-
lence Awareness Month
(DVAM) and across the
country, battered women’s
advocates are joining
elected officials, health care
providers, business leaders,
police officers, faith-based
groups, concerned citizens
and many others to organ-
ize events and activities
domestic	violence.	The
events range from national
campaigns to statewide ac-
tivities to local community
events. While the activities
