Dear Club Presidents,
As you know, plans are underway for a fantastic GFWC IL Blue Ribbon Fashion Show! How can your club help? Sell admission tickets to your club members and their guests! And to help your club sell tickets, we've developed two new incentive programs:
* Every club that sells 10 tickets will be entered into a prize drawing for a Target gift card worth $50 for your club. You can use this gift card to stock up on items needed to carry out club business or to subsidize a club project!
* The club that sells the most tickets per capita will be honored at State Convention
with a 30-
Ticket prices remain a great value at $35.00 for a fabulous lunch and to see some outstanding fashions modeled by your Federation friends at the glorious Drake Hotel in Oak Brook, IL. So get excited, ladies and let's sell some tickets! Remember, this year’s show is Saturday, March 28th 2009!
RAFFLE BASKETS
This year, we are requesting that each club donate a themed basket worth a minimum of $50.00. It can be worth more, but it needs to be at least $50.00 in value. If your club cannot support this request, we would like to ask the clubs to please make a monetary donation and the committee will use toward building baskets.
DEADLINES
* Southern Region Clubs – Please bring your completed raffle basket to the Southern Regional Meeting to be held SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2009 in Bloomington.
* Central Region Clubs – Please bring your completed raffle basket to the Central Regional Meeting to be held SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2009 in Whittington.
* Northern Region Clubs – Please deliver your completed raffle basket to your District President or District Director of Junior Clubs by FRIDAY, MARCH 6, 2009. They in turn will bring to the Board of Directors meeting to be held SATURDAY, MARCH 7, 2009 in Lombard.
Presidents, it is imperative that you all follow these directions so that the committee receives the baskets in time to prepare them for the show. Please let me know as soon as possible if you need to make other arrangements, and we will work through any challenges!
If you do not plan to or cannot attend the upcoming GFWC IL Spring Region Meetings, please deliver your club’s basket to your District President or District Director of Junior Clubs by the dates noted above, or ship to my home address no later than March 1, 2009:
